Selank is a synthetic heptapeptide developed by appending a Pro-Gly-Pro sequence to the C-terminus of the naturally occurring immunomodulatory peptide tuftsin. It is studied in neuro-pharmacological assays to measure regulatory effects on monoamine neurotransmitter degradation and changes in endogenous enkephalin concentration.
