Semaglutide

Semaglutide is a synthetic GLP-1 receptor agonist analog. The sequence features a structural substitution of alanine for alpha-aminobutyric acid at position 8 and an attached C18 fatty diacid chain via a spacer. This structural modification is studied in vitro to analyze resistance to dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) enzymatic degradation.
